Intended Use
The Dream Sock™ is designed for routine, in-home monitoring of healthy infants, measuring oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate (PR). It analyzes photoplethysmography data to detect when PR and/or SpO2 levels move outside preset ranges, prompting a notification to the caregiver for further assessment.
These notifications and data are meant to assist caregivers in deciding whether to seek additional medical guidance and are not a replacement for traditional diagnostic or treatment methods.
Indications for Use
The Dream Sock is intended for use with healthy infants aged 0 to 18 months and weighing 2.5-13.6 kg in a home environment. It is not suitable for infants with chronic cardiovascular or respiratory conditions.
The device detects and notifies caregivers of hypoxia when SpO2 levels fall below 80%, and of tachycardia or bradycardia when PR levels exceed 220 BPM or drop below 50 BPM, respectively.
